GEORGIA-FLORIDA SUSPENDED

ATHENS, Ga. — Rain forced the umpires to suspend the Florida-Georgia game. The teams were tied at 9 in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The game will resume 30 minutes after the conclusion of today’s regularly scheduled game at 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs’ Lyle Allen had singled with one out and pinch hitter Robbie O’Bryan faced a 0-1 count against Florida’s Patrick Keating when the game was stopped at 10:43 p.m.

Georgia jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the second inning, but Florida rallied to tie it in the eighth.
