JONESBORO, Ga. --
A Clayton County grand jury has re-indicted a homeless woman accused of setting a fire that killed five family members at a motel in Riverdale. The grand jury re-indicted Sheree Murphy on Wednesday in connection with the fire June 7th, 2007, at the Budget Inn.
The grand jury met again on the case after a Superior Court judge dismissed the original indictment, saying it was poorly worded.
The new indictment includes 23 charges against Murphy, including one count of arson and multiple charges of murder and aggravated battery.
An assistant district attorney, John Turner, says prosecutors will seek the death penalty.
Murphy's attorney, Steve Frey, says there's no tangible evidence linking her to the fire.
