  • E.A. White Elementary School celebrated its golden anniversary Jan. 31 with a special program for former and current students and faculty. The event highlighted the school’s history — including its namesake, 1st Lt. Edward White, the Korean War veteran for whom the school was dedicated in 1962.

  • For the last four years, The Skate Shed has hosted an annual Chili Cook-Off and Skateboard contest. This year’s event, scheduled for Saturday, is a family-friendly environment where you can come and watch some amazing skateboarding, eat some tasty chili, check out the vendor booths that offer everything from simple stickers to designing, shaping, and cutting out your very own custom skateboard deck.
