Notice of Sale Under Power. State of Georgia, County of MUSCOGEE. Under and by virtue of the Power of Sale contained in a Deed to Secure Debt given by LAKICIA SHANTAYE COOPER to MORTGAGE ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION SYSTEMS, INC. ("MERS") AS NOMINEE FOR ALLIED HOME MORTGAGE CAPITAL CORPORATION , dated 10/21/2008, and Recorded on 10/24/2008 as Book No. 09519 and Page No. 308-327, MUSCOGEE County, Georgia records, as last assigned to BANK OF AMERICA, N.A. (the Secured Creditor), by assignment, conveying the after-described property to secure a Note of even date in the original principal amount of $104,345.00, with interest at the rate specified therein, there will be sold by the undersigned at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash at the MUSCOGEE County Courthouse within the legal hours of sale on the first Tuesday in August, 2014, the following described property: ALL THAT LOT, TRACT AND PARCEL OF LAND SITUATE, LAYING AND BEING IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA, COUNTY OF MUSCOGEE AND CITY OF COLUMBUS, AND BEING KNOWN AND DESIGNATED AS ALL OF LOT NUMBERED FORTY (40), IN BLOCK LETTERES "J", OF SECTION SEVEN, FOREST PARK SUBDIVISION, AS SHOWN ON A MAP OR PLAT OF SAID SECTION SEVEN DATED DECEMBER 6, 1971, MADE BY MOON, MEEKS & PATRICK, AND RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 50, FOLIOS 78-A, 78-B AND 78-C, IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK OF THE SUPERIOR COURT OF MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GEORGIA, TO WHICH REFERENCE IS HEREBY MADE FOR A MORE PARTICULAR DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION OF SAID LOT. LOCATED THEREON IS HOUSE #6800 PLAYFIELD DRIVE, ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT NUMBERING OF HOUSES IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA. The debt secured by said Deed to Secure Debt has been and is hereby declared due because of, among other possible events of default, failure to pay the indebtedness as and when due and in the manner provided in the Note and Deed to Secure Debt. Because the debt remains in default, this sale will be made for the purpose of paying the same and all expenses of this sale, as provided in the Deed to Secure Debt and by law, including attorney's fees (notice of intent to collect attorney's fees having been given).
