Man, 33, dies from multiple gunshots at 4th Quarter sports bar

A 33-year-old Columbus man died just before midnight Friday after he was shot multiple times at the 4th Quarter sports bar on Macon Road, police said Saturday.

Dominic Leo Mitchell was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m. by Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton in the emergency room at Midtown Medical Center. His body will be transported to the crime lab in Atlanta  for an autopsy on Tuesday.

Police said officers were called to the 6959 Macon Road bar to check on a shooting. At the scene, they found the victim with multiple gunshots.

Detectives said the shooting remains under investigation. No other details of the death was available, including where the incident occurred at the business.
