More Good News
Less than two weeks after surgery that's about as major as you can get, Jerome is well on the road to recovery. He told me this morning that he's still a little sore here and there, but feeling really good.

Homeward Bound
Exactly a week after open-heart surgery, Jerome is headed HOME!!! Thanks to the marvels of modern medicine and the talented docs and staff at Emory, he's on the road to recovery and will sleep in his own bed tonight, which may be the best medicine of all. :)

Update this morning from the best source of all, Snakes fans. Rhonda Bechard posted on facebook about an hour ago that Jerome's been walking 5-6 times a day and doing great at it!! Tomorrow, he's scheduled for a chest x-ray and echocardiogram. If he passes these key tests, ...

Modern Medicine
Thanks to the marvels of modern medicine and excellent docs at Emory University Hospital, Jerome could be headed home tomorrow if all continues to go well!! He's made remarkable, steady progress since undergoing open-heart surgery only 5 days ago.

The news out of Emory continues to be good, Snakes fans. Jerome is progressing nicely and on track to come home in a few days. He still needs to regain his strength, which is certainly expected after MAJOR surgery!!

Surgery is over and all went well. Docs got to do exactly what they wanted to do. Headed to ICU for a while. Long day, but great outcome. YAY!!!

Finish Line
Only about half hour left. Everything still going great. Such a sense of relief as our little group waits to exhale. Jerome has done beautifully. The folks at Emory are incredible. Quite a place.

All is Well
All is going well with Jerome's surgery. Three hours in. Updates coming every couple of hours. Emory's a very impressive place. He's in great hands!!
