Michael Jason Registe, the man wanted on murder charges in the July 20 slayings of Randy Newton Jr. and Bryan Kilgore, may be in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed Thursday.

The Columbus Police Department and FBI held a news conference at 1:30 p.m. today to confirm that Michael Jason Registe is a suspect in the murders of Randy Newton and Bryan Kilgore.
