Blame it on my New Kids on the Block bedsheets: I couldn't resist posting a separate AMA update about the Backstreet Boys/NKOTB collaboration.
The boy bands closed the show at Sunday's American Music Awards 2010. They performed a medley of songs that included "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "Hangin' Tough," "I Want It That Way," "Step by Step," "You Got It (The Right Stuff)" and "Larger Than Life."
Click on the video that accompanies this page to witness the life-changing musical hybrid, which apparently has a name: NKOTBSB.
Sad news, local readers: the 2011 NKOTBSB tour hasn't yet scheduled a stop in Atlanta. Click here to see tour dates and locations.
UPDATE: Scratch that. The bands updated their tour schedule Monday and the new lineup includes a June 22, 2011 date in Atlanta. Who's in?
For the sake of curiosity, I researched the musicians' ages after the performance. All ages come from Wikipedia, so attach credibility accordingly.
New Kids on the Block: Jordan Knight (40), Donnie Wahlberg (41), Jordan Knight (40), Joey McIntyre (37) and Danny Wood (41).
Backstreet Boys: Nick Carter (30), A.J. McLean (32), Howie Dorough (37) and Brian Littrell (35). Kevin Richardson (39) is a former member of the band.
Weigh in: Is Backstreet back? Are the New Kids still hangin' tough?
