NaOnka Mixon and Kelly "Purple Kelly" Shinn quit "Survivor: Nicaragua" on Wednesday's episode. They cited physical exhaustion as their reason for leaving.
After a massive storm, both women announced their decision relatively early in the episode. Host Jeff Probst urged them to reconsider, saying he'd ask again at the episode's tribal council. They didn't change their minds.
NaOnka's move caused more controversy than Kelly's decision. That's because NaOnka announced her desire to quit moments after her team won a reward challenge.
After that, Jeff Probst said that if a member of the winning team surrendered the reward and stayed at camp, the entire tribe would get a tarp and more rice. It made sense for NaOnka to take the hit, since she planned on leaving.
She didn't do it. Holly, a member of the winning team, made the sacrifice and stayed at camp. Meanwhile, NaOnka stuck with the winning team during a movie screening that included food.
Seven players remain in the game.
Weigh in: Are NaOnka and Purple Kelly wimps? For the record, I say yes.
