Kailyn and Jo try to make their relationship work, but they’re not officially back together. Also, Kailyn starts college. Her friend’s mom watches Isaac while she’s at school.
Kailyn needs to fine-tune her routine. She fights with Jo about laundry responsibilities while his parents stand in the background. Later, Jo’s dad privately confronts Kailyn. He tells her to stop fighting with everyone at home.
Things get worse: Jo gets kicked out of the house. He takes Isaac to New Jersey, but Kailyn still needs somewhere to stay. She ends up at her friend’s house.
Jo wants to get an apartment with Kailyn, but she’s not too keen on the idea. Kailyn wants to get her own place.
Jenelle registers for college. There’s just one problem: She can’t afford it. She has a hard time getting financial aid since her mom has custody of Jace. That means she has to fill out an entirely new set of forms.
Her mom freaks out when Jenelle asks her to dig up some tax forms. Jenelle seeks comfort from her new boyfriend. Unfortunately, she spends a bit too much time with her boyfriend – enough to make her forget she’s supposed to babysit her son.
Predictably, Janelle’s mom is not happy. She wants Jenelle out of the house. Jenelle packs up her stuff and vows to get her son back.
Leah’s life doesn’t get any easier after moving in with Corey. She invites her mom and dad over for dinner. Her parents give her a tough time for moving back in with Corey so quickly.
In an attempt to de-stress, Leah hangs out with her friend. Their time together makes Leah want to go to college.
Leah leaves the girls with Corey while she shops. Corey struggles a bit. It makes Leah worry about starting school.
Chelsea makes rules for Adam as he prepares to move in to the place she shares with her friend. He has to have a job. He has to treat Chelsea and Aubree well. He has to treat Chelsea’s roommate well.
Meanwhile, Chelsea is still trying to finish high school online so she can go to beauty school. The key word is “trying.” She puts things on hold when Adam comes over. It’s a perfect opportunity for her to recite the list of rules. He accepts her terms and conditions.
So Chelsea and Adam’s cohabitation is a “go.” There’s just one problem: She doesn’t want to tell her dad. On the plus side, Adam is earning how to change a diaper. Kind of.
Chelsea breaks the news about Adam to her sister. “I just hope this time goes a little bit better,” her sister says.
While Chelsea gets her nails done, her dad stops by for a surprise visit. Ouch. Naturally, he wants Adam to move out. He thinks Adam is a freeloader.
