The 10th annual Mind, Body and Spirit Retreat for Women, presented by Columbus Regional Healthcare System and the Cunningham Center at CSU, is 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Cunningham Center. This year’s theme is “Stay Green Keep Growing.” The $40 registration fee includes a continental breakfast, several individual workshops, lunch and a tote bag. Individual workshops will include “Nourish with Healthy Recipes,” Green: The Color of Investment Opportunity,” “Chakras: Your Mind-Body-Energy System,” “Take Flight by Starting a Small Business.” “Examine Our Community’s Roots and History of Columbus,” and “Create More Economical and Safe Household Cleaning Products.”
David Benefield from Ann’s Porch will give a group presentation over the lunch hour on flower arranging. The featured speaker is Barbara McBride-Smith, nationally-acclaimed storyteller. She will conduct both the morning and afternoon group sessions and lead an individual workshop as well on storytelling.
