Some very philanthropic Columbus STARS will show their moves on the dance floor for one exciting evening to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter. The event, “Dancing Stars of Columbus” will take place on Friday, April 26, at the RiverMill Event Centre. Mirroring the popular TV show "Dancing with the Stars," this event pairs local stars with professional dancers to raise money by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition. The evening will also include a special presentation by Realtree- You Tube sensation, dubstep dancer Marquese Scott.

The People's Choice Award will be accepted by the dancer who raises the most individual dollars ($1.00 donated = 1 vote), while the Judge's Choice Award will be given to the dancer with the highest dance program score.

The event is chaired this year by Pam and Edwin Page. Edwin, a physician specializing in ENT and Pam are busy parents to eight children. Former chairs include Marla and Roberto Caligaris; Cathey and ABbott Turner and Barbara and Sam Warren.
