Phenix City has a shiny new video promoting its Positively Phenix City campaign.
Not to be outdone, Uptown Columbus posted one on its YouTube page Friday that features, of course, the urban whitewater course, Uptown Market Days, the concert series and more.
The two minute and 44 second video opens with a few screens telling viewers to "Stay and Play" and mentions the whitewater course and "so much more."
Whitewater Express, the lone commercial outfitter on the new urban course, said last week it has put nearly 16,000 rafters down the river since it opened in May. Rates are expected to stay the same next year: low-flow runs for $32.50 and high-water excursions that include Cut Bait for $48.50.
