Kevin Hart set to perform at Columbus Civic Center
Acclaimed Comedian Kevin Hart will be making a stop in Columbus during his “What Now?” tour.
Tickets for the show, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Columbus Civic Center, went on sale Tuesday and start at $78 for general seating and $132 for floor- and lower-level seats.
“It’s probably one of the most popular comedy tours for the last year,” said Ross Horner, director of the Civic Center. “He’s been all over the world with this. For us, it’s a really big pick-up and being one of the smaller markets on this tour is a really big deal for us.”
The comedian made the announcement at 1 p.m. Tuesday on social media and tickets immediately went on sale. More than 600 tickets were sold online by 7 p.m.
Horner said it is not a normal practice for the Civic Center to sale tickets simultaneously with the announcement.
Hart started out as a shoe salesman, and after performing a stand-up routine at a Philadelphia comedy club, his comedy career began.
In addition to his career as a comedian, he also is an actor and producer. He has starred in a number of television shows and movies such as “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” “Soul Plane” and most recently in “Central Intelligence” along Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and voicing Snowball in “The Secret Life of Pets,” according to his website.
Tickets can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com and at the Civic Center box office Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
