NIM Kids Free Summer Film Fest
The National Infantry Museum Kids is hosting the 2017 NIM Kids Film Fest with showings of “Tangled” and “Jungle Book 2016”. The films are free to the public and are offered twice a day at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Admission is on a first come-first seated basis. Concessions will open prior to the first showing. Columbus Museum Concert Series
Enjoy live music performed by regional bands, guided tours and a featured food truck to bring arts and music together in one setting. Featuring: Snakebite Six. This band provides audiences with a taste of traditional New Orleans jazz. They’ll perform a wide-range of songs, including standards of the genre such as “Sweet Georgia Brown” and “When the Saints Go Marching In”. Gallery tour: Permanent collection. The Columbus Museum brings a variety of musicians, storytellers, dancers and puppeteers. The program relates to objects and thems found in the Museum’s Permanent Collection and temporary exhibitions. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the performance begins at 10:30 a.m. Seating is first come-first served. 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Celebration

Dog Hike in Pine Mountain
Hosted by Animal Ark Rescue. Hike the Overlook Loop Trail (3.4 miles) with a shelter dog. Anyone 18 years and older with a valid photo ID may participate. No children will be allowed for safety reasons. It is recommended coming to the shelter a few days before the hike to select a dog to hime with and take them on a test walk if needed. Must be able to transport a dog from the shelter to Pine Mountain and back (you may bring a kennel). Pack a lunch and picnic after the hike if you’d like. Items to bring, flat leash (not retractable), water (for you and the dog), bowl, sunscreen, bug spray, and snacks/dog treats. Note: thisouting is for shelter dogs only. No personal dogs allowed. Rain or shine. $5 parking.
