Public Ice Skating
The Columbus Ice Rink has announced the public skating schedule for the upcoming holiday season. Members of the Columbus Figure Skating Academy and the Columbus Hockey Association will have members on the ice to assist newcomers. Free; skate rental $3. 2 p.m.-7 p.m. The regular public skating schedule will resume January 6 with public skating 4-9 p.m. Adult admission is $7, kids 10 and under is $5 with skate rental $3. Columbus Museum’s Open Studio
The Columbus Museum offers Open Studio sessions to give families the opportunity to explore unique art-making methods and materials. Help turn the Museum into a winter wonderland. Participants will discover a process to create their own snow and will be sent on a gallery scavenger hunt to celebrate the season. Each participant will go home with a bag of the snow he/she created and a recipe to create snow at home. Recommended for ages 3 and up.
