Columbus won four Region 2-AAA cross country titles Saturday on Shaw High School’s 5-kilometer course: the girls and boys team championships, plus the individual first places.
Jessica Ridley led Columbus to the girls title with a 20:41, followed by teammate Rio Watson in second (21:40). Charlie Sparks won the boys race for Columbus in 17:44. Grey Bittinger of Shaw was second (18:29).
Columbus had five of the top six girls finishers for 18 points. Northside was next with 55. In the boys race, Columbus had 25 points, and LaGrange was second with 67.
