Do a little cleaning daily to avoid last-minute housework marathons

Comparing our housekeeping styles, you'd never guess that I'm my mother's daughter. She'll insist it's not, but her house is immaculate. You can literally eat off her kitchen floor. She has a cleaning schedule and she sticks to it. She doesn't let the work pile up until the weekend and then whine all day about how much she has to do. Although, if you listen closely, you might hear her mutter something about why my dad seems unable to locate the laundry hamper after 35 years of marriage.
