May 16: Elizabeth Johns, professor emerita of art history from the University of Pennsylvania, speaks at Columbus Museum

The Columbus Museum hosts Rothschild Distinguished Speaker Elizabeth Johns, professor emerita of art history from the University of Pennsylvania at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, May 16. To accompany the Museum’s current exhibition, Winslow Homer in America, Johns will provide an illustrated lecture on Homer's life, the culture of his era as seen in his wood engravings, and his development as an artist from his wood engravings to his mature paintings.
