Bottled waters include Dasani ($1.95) for $2.50, you get a choice of San Pellegrino, Perrier or Panna. For various prices, there are also coffees — house, espresso, latte — and hot teas, cider and chai beverages.

Starters: Two soups: house tomato Parmesan or French onion with crostini and mozzarella ($3 for a cup; $5 for a bowl). Check out the Meritage House Salad (mixed greens, candied pecans, Mandarin oranges and grape tomatoes with house creamy coconut citrus vinaigrette) for $7.25. Other salads include Black and Blue Salad (traditional Caesar salad with chopped romaine lettuce, garlic Pecorino cheese croutons, crispy bacon, oven-roasted tomatoes, blackened slow-roasted shaved filet mignon, blue cheese crumbles and house Caesar dressing) for $8.95.
Main dishes: Panini sandwiches. Try the Carlo Carlo (pancetta or Italian bacon, smoked turkey, tomato, portabella mushrooms, Roman-style artichokes on a ciabatta loaf) for $8.25. A new item on the menu is the gourmet focaccia bread pizza, which come with a small salad. These pizzas range from $8.95-$11.95, depending on the toppings.
Side items: Meritage house chips, pasta salad, poppy seed coleslaw, baked potato salad. All are $1.50.
Specialty diets: The De Chirico panini sandwich has fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella, Auricchio provolone, fresh pesto and olive oil on a ciabatta loaf for $7.50. The Granvella panini has Roman-style artichokes, roasted red pepper, grilled eggplant, spinach, Auricchio provolone and Gréggorio dressing on a ciabatta loaf for $7.50. Several of the salads have no meat on them.
Of note: Once you try the Meritage house chips, you'll never go back to conventional potato chips. Trust us. If you're not sure what you want, the combos might be the way to go. For example, half of any panini sandwich with either half a house salad or a cup of soup is $9.95.
The bottom line: Panini sandwiches, which come with one side item, range in price from $7.50-$8.95. Wraps are $6.25-$7.95. Salads are $5.95-$9.95.

Crowds and waiting: There are plenty of tables in the main dining room, but if you choose to go right at noon, there may be a wait.
