Type of food: It's German and a meat-lover's paradise with a variety of schnitzel and German sausages. Jaeger schnitzel with brown gravy and mushrooms is a favorite. Try the Hawaiian schnitzel with pineapple and cherries. Save room for homemade German cakes and torts.
Appetizers: Jalapeno poppers, cheese sticks, beer-batter mushrooms, chicken tenders, onion rings or a mixed basket of everything.
Beverages: Soft drinks, tea (sweet or unsweetened), coffee, bottled water and fruit juices. Of course, German beers, German wines and 10 varieties of German schnapps.
Atmosphere: There's German music playing, with plenty of German knick-knacks, clothing and tapestries on display in the two large dining areas. A nice touch are the lace curtains on the windows.
Cost: Most dinners are $8.00-$12.50, with lunches from $4.50-$6.25. Appetizers from $5.50-$6.95. All entrees come with German mixed salad (pickled green beans and carrots, lettuce and German potato salad), hearty dark German bread and a side.
