The Columbus Lions are bringing back defensive back Eddie Ravenell, one of the players from their first season in 2007.
Ravenell, a 6-foot 220-pounder who played at North Carolina A&T, was third on the Lions that season with four interceptions. He also made 21.5 tackles.
Ravenell also played part of the 2008 season with the Lions. He left after six games for personal reasons, according to a press release from the Lions.
“Bringing Eddie in is like bringing in a new defensive coordinator,” Lions coach Jason Gibson said. “With him re-teaming up with Damian and Ramone, our secondary will be the strong point of our defense as we enter training camp.”
Never miss a local story.
Columbus also added Joshua Chambers (6-2, 265, Alabama State) to the defensive line.
