Get your guns, masks, hoppers and paint ready because the next Paintball at the Woodlands, hosted by Outdoor Recreation, is from 1-5 p.m. Friday at Woodland Paintball Area.
The event, which is on a training holiday, is for paintball enthusiasts of all levels, said Brittany Beadle, Outdoor Recreation specialist.
“People shouldn’t be scared if it’s their first time playing paintball,” Beadle said. “We have plenty of veterans of the sport who help teach strategy.”
Players, who must be 13 years and older, will compete in games including capture the flag, attack and defend, long-field and short-field play.
Beadle said paintball days are always a lot of fun and it always draws a big crowd. Usually, there are around 30 to 40 players who attend, she said.
The event is open to military ID cardholders and family members. Registration isn’t required. If you want to play, just show up.
The entrance to the paintball area has changed from Dixie Road to Dublinsky Street. After passing the old paintball entrance on Dixie Road on your right going toward Main Post , take a right at the light onto Dublinsky Street. You will see the new entrance on your right. Carbon dioxide tanks and paintballs are sold on site.
