I'm at a bit of a stand-still with the wedding planning.
I made a few phone calls last week and I think I've decided on a florist and a dj, but I still need to meet with them and make deposits. And I probably won't be going back to Illinois until August or September, which seems okay with both of those vendors.
My mom will be coming down the first week in June with the save the dates and all the other stationery. We'll be addressing those and sending them out then, and I also need to find a good tailor down here so we can take my dress in to get a few embellishments added.
I keep getting the feeling like I'm missing something - like I shouldn't be able to just kick my heels up at this point. But I can't think of anything to do!
When I go to Illinois next I'll also be going to the caterer to figure out what sides we want and I'll also be talking to the guy who's making our ice sculpture. I found a perfect image for him to use and I'll need to get that to him too.
I am anxious to get all the bridesmaid dresses ordered and find shoes for them. But I'm more concerned about the guys' wardrobe because that's something I want my fiance to choose. Hopefully when he's in Illinois this summer on leave (without me!) he can get something worked out (I'll keep my fingers crossed!).
But everything for the cake is coming together, decorations for the reception are pretty much done.
We just need a marriage license, rings and a permission from the Catholic church (you know, the little things)!
Wish me luck - and let me know if you can figure out what I'm forgetting!
