Add a touch of Hollywood glitz to your Emmy party by serving The Grey Goose Emmy while watching the show at 8 p.m. Sunday, August 29 on NBC.
This cocktail will be served at the Governor's Ball following the Emmys. It sounds delicious, but I don't want to buy orange-flavored vodka or peach bitters. Drinks with too many ingredients get expensive on my nonstarlet budget.
If your tastebuds (or your wallet) aren't quite ready for this luxurious Hollywood cocktail, try my cost-effective version below.
DAWN'S EMMY COCKTAIL
1 cup orange juice
4 smallish scoops peach sorbet
1 cup vodka
Put sorbet, orange juice and vodka in a blender and blend just to combine flavors but not enough to liquefy the sorbet. Pour mixture into chilled martini glasses, saving room to pour about an ounce of sparkling wine into each glass. Makes four servings. Garnish with a slice of fresh peach or a sprig of fresh mint.
