I don't think anybody is a big fan of unemployment, regardless of who the president is. Alan Greenspan sure doesn't like it, and on Sunday he said it would top 10 percent and hang out at that level before deciding to head back down to more reasonable levels.
Especially scary are Greenspan's comments about how people who remain without jobs for more than six months lose their abilities that got them jobs in the first place. So, the problem is not only a suffering economy with millions out of work, it's people losing marketable skills and sending the whole country in a downward spiral of depression and loss the likes of which Trent Reznor has not seen.
When can we legitimately start blaming Obama for all this? I still say give the guy until Jan. 19, 2010, before you get those pitchforks and torches out from behind the shed.
