I never planned to have three dogs. It just happened. But they're so funny and they make me laugh.
Dry food is available all day if they want to nibble. And, of course, there's water for them.
When I get home, I prepare their "wet" food. I always put down Chipper's bowl first. After all, he's my first baby. Then I feed Pookie Belle and finally, Piiko. Piiko won't eat until I hand-feed her a little bit first.
The other night, Chipper didn't feel like eating, so he went and sat down with my mother on the sofa.
So Pookie Belle, being the little piggy that she is, ate the contents of her bowl, and then proceeded to eat all of Chipper's. About 10 minutes later, Chipper walked into the kitchen and went to his bowl. He sat there, looked at it and then went to Pookie's bowl. It was empty, too. Then he looked at me like, "Where's my dinner?"
I told him that he left his food, his little girl would eat it. He wasn't happy with me. He reluctantly started eating the dry kibble. And drank a lot of water.
Later on, I did give him a treat so he wouldn't have a completely emply stomach! He never learns.
By the way, he's never tried to kill Chris Johnson. I do have to admit, he went after Chris one afternoon, grabbing the hem of his jeans. Chris doesn't have to malign my baby like he did in his column two Sundays ago! I've never made fun of his dog.
