I love to read Top 10 lists. Every night I have to watch David Letterman's Top 10.
My editor found the top baby names for various years on the Social Security web site. We spent 30 minutes last Friday checking out various names for different years. I know. We should have been working.
Never miss a local story.
Today, I found the Top 10 movies voted by a poll of people in England.
Here it is:
1. Dirty Dancing
2. The Shawshank Redemption
3. Star Wars
4. High School Musical
5. The Lord of the Rings
7. Mamma Mia!
8. The Sound of Music
9. The Matrix
10. Gone With the Wind
Who voted on this? "High School Musical"? That should not even be on the list!
Where's "The Godfather" saga? "The Wizard of Oz"? "Citizen Kane"? "Blazing Saddles"? "The Magnificent Seven"?
Oh, well. Maybe I'm just too old to vote on top movies now.
