This weekend I was able to convince my fiance that the local Macy's is not big enough for us to do our registry at (even though I had already started it online) and that we had to do to one in Atlanta.
Considering he HATES Atlanta and refuses to drive there, I got behind the wheel and we headed northeast.
Now, I figured this would be a good opportunity to squeeze in everything I always want to do in Atlanta, but never get to because he won't agree to go there.
In addition to putting the finishing touches on our registry, we were bed/mattress shopping. I also wanted to eat at Vortex, do some vintage shopping, make a stop at Trader Joe's and locate a tea boutique I'd heard lots about.
Well, we didn't even get to the Lenox Square mall until 1 p.m. and from then on I knew my fantasy day in Atlanta wasn't going to happen.
But that's ok. Unfortunately, dinner plans were nixed, I had to let go of my hunt for vintage shops and Trader Joe's fell by the wayside.
But, on a very positive note, we found the bed we're going to buy, we completed our wedding registry and there was a Teavana location in the mall.
I'll be planning another trip to Lenox Square, this time with a better game plan, more time and no boys - it's definitely a "girls trip" kind of place, especially when the boy you're with doesn't much care for crowds and people.
But I feel accomplished and excited to have the registry out of the way.
One more little pink alarm clock I can put to rest.
