Here's Lil Rounds, born in 1984. She clarifies that yes, her name really is Lil. It's a shortened version of her grandma's name, Lily.
Confirming virtually every fan's predictions, Lil sings "What's Love Got To Do With It," a performance that comes off as boring and unoriginal early on. Her lower register is incredibly weak, a flaw that really can't be hidden in this song. It's obvious she should have opted for something that lends itself more to high notes and belting. It's not awful, but fails for a lack of uniqueness.
Paula: "I'm really worried that it's becoming a beautiful karaoke version."
Simon: "It became one of those ghastly copycat performances."
Randy: "It's almost like you're not listening to us."
Kara: "It's about making that leap from a singer to an artist and that's where you really suffer."
