Michelle Williams graces the October cover of Vogue magazine, granting her first interview since the death of Heath Ledger, her former lover and father of her daughter, Matilda.
In the portion that is up on the Web site, she sounds strong and confident and sad.
I never liked Williams' character Jen on "Dawson's Creek" and I probably inappropriately took that out on the actress herself - but I've been impressed by what I've seen her do since those days and I'm even more impressed after reading this interview.
Everything she says about having to cope with the loss of first their relationship and then Heath himself feels very real - it's not sensational, it's not dramatic, it just is.
I enjoy that she isn't caught up in Hollywood. Just the fact that she's waited so long to talk to the press garners a deep hurt. She's not searching for a spotlight. In fact, she was running from it.
I am in awe at how great she looks - her hair is just adorable.
I might, for the first time ever, have to pick up a copy of Vogue.
