In the show's final moments, we learn some favorites have gotten the "no." Utah auditioners David Osmond -- of THE Osmonds -- and class president Austin Sisernos won't be advancing.
Now, time for some resolution on the Tatiana situation. The annoying-laugh contestant, who's had a love-hate relationship with her team, takes the stage for a group performance of "I Want You Back."
Actually, they sound decent -- until the performance wraps up and Tatiana starts singing solo about how the judges should let her through. Simon puts an end to that quickly.
Still, Tatiana and friends all get the OK to advance, which prompts Tatiana to give an Oscar-like acceptance thanking the entire AI crew. Wow. She is so annoying.
Last up: The much-anticipated performance from Team Compromise, whose relationship has been defined by anything BUT compromise.
Kristen, Nancy and headband-wearing Nathaniel sing Duffy's "Mercy." They're actually not too bad, aside from the fact that they have absolutely no group interaction at all.
Nathaniel and Kristen get the OK, but Nancy -- obviously the weakest link vocally -- is going home. They all part in separate directions and Nancy cusses Kristen out.
Seriously. Remind again why these people are fighting?
Quick recap of some more ousted contestants, mainly unknowns, with exception of Amy Winehouse lookalike Frankie Jordan. I'll miss her.
We're down to 75 singers, Seacrest says, and he's quick to remind us that the drama will continue next week.
Tuesday's previews include Anoop singing "My Prerogative." Man, I love this show.
