Looks like the producers are pushing the males on us tonight. We're about 10 minutes in and we've only seen male singers.
Is that about to change?
The trend continues when Anoop Desai wows us with "My Prerogative," while Puerto Rico's Jorge Nunez nails Ne-Yo's "Closer."
Now, another male heavy-hitter: blind Scott MacIntryre, who plays the piano to Daughtry's "Home" and predictably gets an enthusiastic reaction. Paula gives him a standing ovation.
Finally, the first female of the night. Texas crooner Kendall Beard. We flash back to the beginning of the beginning of Hollywood week, where she apparently struggled. Now, she seems back on track, belting her way through Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats."
OK, looks like we're on rapid-fire mode. Quick footage of Stevie Wright, tornado-damaged Lil Rounds and Kristen McNamara, of "Nashville Star" fame. They all seem to wow the judges.
Fortunately, Mishavonna Henson gets a little more air time. She's a spoiler site favorite, but this is pretty much the first we've seen of her all season. We learn she made it to Hollywood last year, but was cut. She's back now, pulling out a really nice Michael Buble cover.
We learn the judges have already decided one group's fate. It's pretty much all the singers we've seen in this episode so far. They're moved into a room, but we don't learn where they're headed.
