This is going to be a close one.
I say Adam Lambert will win, but I'm typing this less than an hour after Tuesday's performance show. My opinion could change. Right now, DialIdol has Kris Allen slightly ahead of Adam. But remember, the show hasn't aired yet in California, where Adam's from.
Never miss a local story.
Then again, Kris could be reaping the benefits of Danny's elimination, earning votes from his conservative fan base.
That awful coronation song, "No Boundaries," could have easily hurt Adam's case, too. It was slightly jarring: Not only because of all the references to dreams coming true, but because it highlighted the difficulties Adam could very well face in finding his niche on Top 40 radio.
Anyway, here's how I'd rank Tuesday's performances. Share your rankings and predictions in the comments section.
1. Adam Lambert, "Mad World"
2. Kris Allen, "Ain't No Sunshine"
3. Adam Lambert, "A Change Is Gonna Come"
4. Kris Allen, "What's Goin' On"
5. Kris Allen, "No Boundaries"
6. Adam Lambert, "No Boundaries"
