EXIT INTERVIEW: TODRICK HALL
Don’t be surprised if you see him again on Fox: “I would love, love, love to be the next cast member on 'Glee,’” he said. It’s not a joke. He said Ellen DeGeneres is pushing for his “Glee” appearance on her talk show.
His best friend on “Idol” was Joe Munoz. He was also close with Alex Lambert. They were roommates. Eliminated female contestants Lilly Scott and Katelyn Epperly were roommates, too.
What went wrong this week? He said he should have done “Somebody to Love” earlier in the competition. He wished he would have done “cookie-cutter” songs in the early weeks instead of the riskier song choices. However, “I feel like I’ll be rewarded for being true to myself and being different,” he said.
Todrick addressed rumors that he cheated families out of money related to a failed theater production. (Read the full story here.)
“I’m not a scam artist. I’m a nice person,” he said. He maintained he never dealt with the money side of that show.
His ideal song to perform? He wanted to sing “Black and Gold” from the “Fame” soundtrack, but it didn’t fit the criteria for the semifinal round.
For Rolling Stones week, he planned to sing “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” He was going to do a dance break mid-song.
Hopefully, America will get to see him dance on “Glee,” Todrick said.
