So the first glimpse of post-'American Idol' music came in the form of runner-up Adam Lambert and a power ballad track for the soundtrack of the apocalyptic movie "2012" called "Time for Miracles."
Check it out on MySpace.
The song itself is okay - he's got a great voice, there's was never any doubt of that. But it's nothing earth-shatteringly original, which is sort of what I'd expect from the flamboyant guy-liner-wearing singer. Luckily, his people are saying this song doesn't represent the bulk of what he's been working on.
Lambert's debut album, "For Your Entertainment," is slated to hit shelves Nov. 23. No word on whether this single will appear on the album, but there will be a collaborative song with Lady Gaga.
Apparently he announced this news via Twitter: "Yes it's true: I spent yesterday in the studio w the insanely talented and creative Lady Gaga recording a song that she wrote!"
Now, Lambert and Gaga? That's a concert I'd pay good money to see.
So, what do you guys think of his new song/video?
(P.S. This is probably the straightest picture I've ever seen of Lambert.)
