Watching "CBS Sunday Morning," I learned that the late genius Buckminster Fuller is responsible for the word "synergy." That's one of those words that you hear repeatedly throughout the day, not knowing exactly what it means.
Fuller, of course, may be most well-known for his geodesic dome homes which he patented in 1954. They were designed to be energy-efficient, economical homes. He also designed a car in 1932 that would seat 11 and go 30 miles per gallon. Both of these ideas were way ahead of its time. We could use both of those designs right now!
Anyway, next time you hear someone say "synergy," you'll know who coined the phrase.
