Thursday, I'll leave Columbus at 2 a.m. and drive to Atlanta's Georgia Dome. There, I'll tackle traffic jams, caffeinated singers and anything else the "American Idol" world throws at me.
But it'll all be worth it.
That is, if I find at least one Bikini Girl wannabe.
Follow this blog as it's updated throughout the morning with my experiences at the Season 9 "Idol" auditions in Atlanta.
Here's how my day will line up: I'll try to start my interviews around 5 a.m., and put up my first post when contestants start filing into the Georgia Dome.
I covered the auditions in Season 7, and contestants were inside by mid-morning. Then I basically just sit outside for an hour or two and wait for people to start exiting. It's all a pretty quick process.
I can't promise Bikini Girl, but I'm pretty sure there will be at least one singer dressed up as an insect. Maybe.
