Historic Columbus Foundation has been presenting Celebrate Columbus! for tow years now. The first was about Bibb City and the second was about the Chattahoochee River. Or it may have been the other way aound. At any rate, Celebrate Columbus is HCF's educational event. Well, one of its educational events.
The Third annual Celebrate Columbus! will spotlight Coca-Cola and will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. March 24 in the St. Luke Ministry Center, 301 11th St.
This event kicks off the 45th anniversary year of HCF. I can't believe it. In five years, it will be 50 years for HCF and it will be a huge thing.
The featured speaker is Phil Mooney, who heads up the Coca-Cola Archives in Atlanta.
Mooney is a "super-collector of all things Coca-Cola," according to his biography. He attends conventions and visits private collections all over the world.
There will be exhibits of local Coca-Cola collections and there will be a silent auction of Coca-Cola-inspired art by local artists.
Tickets are $25 or $400 for a table.
