If you thought the zombie-movie genre was all tapped out, here's something that may pique your interest: a zombie musical.
Ok, so it's sort of been done before with "Evil Dead: The Musical." But that was never made into a movie.
Oh, you haven't seen "Lo"? Not surprised. But, trust me, it's awesome, and also includes some fun musical numbers (you can watch it on Netflix instant streaming).
Never miss a local story.
From "The Dead Inside's" website: "Wes (Dustin Fasching) is a burned out photographer paying the bills shooting weddings. Fi (Sarah Lassez) is the author of a series of zombie novellas called, The Dead Survive. They are lovers who, at one time, were at the top of their creative game, but now have misplaced their muse. When Fi begins to show signs of mental illness, Wes does everything in his power to help her get better. But darker forces lurk inside her, and soon they realize the true horror of the situation. Fighting against a disturbed entity, they rediscover inspiration in the grimmest corners of this musical horror movie."
This sounds like a must-see. It's currently running the film festival circuit and I wasn't able to find out anything about when it might be released on DVD or available for download.
