Water for Elephants
Based on the best-selling novel, Water for Elephants shows the growing, yet dangerous love between Jacob, a veterinary school student in charge of care for circus animals, and Marlena — a married circus performer, through their combined compassion and care for an elephant named Rosie. Although the two fall madly in love, the pair must deal with Marlena’s possessive and dangerous husband, August. Rated PG-13.
Follow a lion pack and a cheetah family on a quest through Africa with this Disney nature-produced documentary. There is Sita, a cheetah and mother of five newborns. Sita must trek across lion territory in order to provide for her cubs; Mara, a young lion in the River Pride who strives to be like her strong mother, Layla; and Fang, wounded leader of the River Pride who must protect his pride from the lion Kali and his sons. Rated G.
Former cop Brian O’Conner and Mia Toretto break Dom Toretto out of jail. The trio are on the run to Rio de Janeiro when they are cornered. Gathering together top racers, the team realizes its only chance at freedom is to confront those out to get them, as well as keep out of reach of authorities. But federal agent Lou Hobbs is hot on their trail, following his own gut after he discovers it’s hard to tell the good guys from the bad. Rated PG-13.
Disney’s Prom unfolds stories of students going to one high school as they prepare for their prom night. Senior Novia Prescott realizes the guy who nearly destroys her perfect prom night might be the perfect prom date. Two other students, Tyler and Mei, have secrets of their own that they are dealing with.The closer to prom night the higher the worry over whether this will be the best night of their high school lives. Rated PG.
Follow a team of ambitious filmmakers and the VORTEX2 research team as they go on a scientific adventure to document the birth of a tornado on film and uncover the science about how these mysterious natural phenomena are formed. Ride along with these storm chasers as they put themselves as close as possible to get to the heart of a tornado, putting them directly in the path of danger. Not rated.

SOUTH PARK: THE COMPLETE
It’s appropriate that the 14th round of Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s animated, irreverent Comedy Central series consists of 14 episodes. The revelation of who Mysterion is forms the basis of a multiple-part story. Otherwise, Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny are up to their usual hijinks that involve various elements of pop culture, from social networks to fried chicken. (Not rated)
Billy Zane returns as a now-proficient shooter who takes his mentor’s son (Chad Michael Collins) under his wing to find and stop a marksman who’s choosing his targets with alarming randomness in the Congo. (Rated R)
“GROWING PAINS: THE
COMPLETE SECOND SEASON”:
It’s been a while since the first season of the former ABC sitcom was issued on DVD, but for fans of the misadventures of the Seaver family, any wait should prove to have been worth it. Joanna Kerns and Alan Thicke play the heads of the household, trying to maintain careers while also being good parents to their children. (Not rated)
THE GREELY EXPEDITION”:
Televised earlier this year on the PBS documentary series, this program recounts the mid-9th century trek by 25 men to gather scientific information in the Arctic. Only six of them ultimately would come back, citing such factors as sailing difficulties and dire hunger in explaining how their ranks had thinned so dramatically. (Not rated)

The honorees include the Judds, Martina McBride, Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Nettles, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood. Presenters, who will also perform with their honorees, include Ronnie Dunn, Rascal Flatts and Vince Gill.

HBO at 9 p.m. for Game of Thrones
Catelyn stays behind to care for Bran as Ned leaves with his daughters to assume his position as the Hand of the King. Tyrion impulsively decides to accompany Jon Snow as he heads north toward the Wall to join the Night’s Watch. Daenerys becomes determined to learn how to please her new husband in the new episode The Kingsroad.
WXTX at 8 p.m. for House
A teenage girl is admitted to the hospital with symptoms resembling those of smallpox after a 200-year-old medicine jar shatters in her hand. When a doctor from the Centers for Disease Control (guest star Dylan Baker) shuts down the hospital, Martha grows suspicious. When the girl’s father starts showing symptoms, House is forced to make a decision that endangers his own life in the new episode A Pox on Our House.
WLTZ AT 9 p.m. for The Voice
Image is everything in the music business, but that could change if this new singing competition catches on. The singers audition for a panel of coaches without being seen, and the coaches pick the ones they want to work with based solely on their voices. Viewer votes pick the grand prize winner, who gets $100,000 and a record deal. Carson Daly hosts, and Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine are the coaches.
