Show your body how much you care by joining in the fun with Love Your Body Week at Smith Fitness Center. Does it sound hokey? Well, try this on for size. Extra weight has been linked to Type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease and stroke, sleep apnea, arthritis and certain types of cancer, according to the Weight-control Information Network. And weight aside, improving your overall health — that’s strength, endurance, flexibility and cardio conditioning — improves your quality of life.
So, do you love your body?
Fitness experts at Smith are making it easy next week with a full schedule of activities, many great for the whole family. Here’s a rundown, and while you’re there for the fun, don’t forget to stay for the sweat. There’s ellipticals, treadmills, stair steppers, stationary bikes, weight machines and more. It’s a great way to get a good workout in while escaping the April sun.
