Whether you are interested in history or the paranormal, Southern Odysseys takes you through the history of Columbus where storytelling weaves together fact and fiction. With a little more than a month away from Halloween, treat yourself to the fascinating stories surrounding the ghost that haunts the Springer Opera House or appears on the Riverwalk — real life mysteries and secrets from Columbus’ past.
The Walk with the Shadows tour is an hour-and-a-half walking tour comprised of many stories about ghosts, legends, murder mysteries, haunted houses and paranormal activity in and around Columbus. It is recommended for individuals ages 13 and older — as some of the stories may frighten young children.
Monica Cobis, the founder of Southern Odysseys, tries to fact-check her stories and offers drawings, newspaper clippings and stories for evidence and leaves it up to the participants to decide whether or not some of the more paranormal or mystery stories are true or not. Did he really commit the crime? Did she really see a ghost? Is that place really haunted? Attend the tour and find out.
The cost of the Walk of the Shadows tour is $13 per person and starts at the downtown Marriott Hotel lobby, 800 Front Ave. Get $2 off your ticket Oct. 26-31 if you come in costume. For more information about Southern Odysseys and other tours offered, visit www.southernodysseys.com.
