RiverMill Event Centre chef Jamie Keating hosts Lunch Break for Schools Fundraiser on Feb. 28-March 2 in conjunction with the American Culinary Federation’s involvement in the Chefs Move to Schools program.
Guests who dine at RiverMill Cafe between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will help raise money to promote proper nutrition in schools.
The Lunch Break for Schools is a national fundraiser organized by the makers of Hidden Valley® Salad Dressings and the American Culinary Federation. Celebrity chef Cat Cora is the national spokesperson and chefs across the country are participating by creating and selling healthy lunch items during the week of Feb. 27–March 2. Net proceeds from the featured special will be donated to the Chef & Child Foundation. That money will be used to create nutrition-based educational resources for chefs involved in the Chefs Move to Schools program, part of Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign to end childhood obesity.
The RiverMille Cafe is at 3715 1st Avenue in Columbus.
