If you live near the Fort Benning military reservation and frequently hear training noise, officials will host an open house and public meeting on training noise.
The event is set for March 15 on the firing range and at McGinnis-Wickam Hall. Residents are encouraged to attend a live-fire weapons demonstration from 3-4 p.m. at Red Cloud Range. People who live near the reservation can get an idea of training and the noise impact.
After the live firing on the range, residents will then go to Marshall Auditorium at McGinnis-Wickam Hall for a 4:30 p.m. meeting with the garrison commander and other officials.
With limited parking on post, free shuttle buses will be provided from the National Infantry Museum parking lot. They leave at 2:20 p.m. and return after the public meeting at about 5:45 p.m.
