Trendy, yet classically conservative is how her models and teachers describe their work attire. Even on casual Friday these teachers reach for stylish jeans and fashionable tops.
Ashley Peoples and Gretchen McGregor, both teachers at Blackmon Road Middle School, aim to look fashionable, fun and appropriate at school. They have to pick the right wardrobe pieces to look youthful but not too young. It’s a thin line, but Ashley and Gretchen walk it with ease, as they model gorgeous dresses for our August 2012 fashion shoot.
Kirsten Powell says as a senior at Central High it’s important for her to help set fashion trends, and she succeeded during our fashion shoot! Our photo shoot took place at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road. The library with its amazing architectural and design details and, of course, books provided an ideal backdrop for our back-to-school photos.
Update your wardrobe at The Buzz Boutique before school starts. The store has a beautiful selection of skirts this season. The abundance of colors and cuts will surprise you. The selection of blouses includes sleeveless or capped sleeves and some decorated with ruffles or pearls. An almost ethereal 1970’s feel is present yet the styles are refreshing enough to deserve to be called “new.”
Never miss a local story.
