Grand openings: Mix Ultra Lounge, Martini's celebrate on Friday

If you're a regular of the downtown nightlife scene, you've probably noticed by now that Mix Ultra Lounge has replaced Oxygen and Mix's old location has morphed into Martini's.

DJ Roonie G, who owns both Mix and Martini's, said that he's "excited to deliver these new concepts to the city officially" on Friday night.

The grand openings at both locations kick of at 9 p.m. Friday, with Roonie spinning at Mix and DJ Alvin D hosting a double CD release party at Martini's.

Here are some other weekend highlights:

Friday's lineup

Chaos on the Rocks: Spent with Orpheus Complex, 10 p.m. $5. 706-322-2261.

After 5 Bar & Grill: Doors open 5 p.m. Poker 6:30-9:30 p.m. with no cover. Area Coaches Social Meet and Greet from 7-11 p.m. with Live DJ music by DJ BKTL. $5. 706-507-0024.

Martini’s: Grand opening featuring DJ Alvin D and his double CD release party. $10 cover for men, $5 for ladies. 706-221-2112.

Spicoli’s: DJ Derek. No cover. 706-221-5252.

Saturday's lineup

Belloo’s: Sweet Lisa, 9:30 p.m. $5. 706-494-1584.

Del Ranch: Fast Times, 9 p.m. $5. 334-297-9177.

Chaos on the Rocks: SOL’ and the Claymores, 10 p.m. $7. 706-322-2261.

Ironwood Lounge of the Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain: BackTrackin’, 8 p.m. No cover. 706-489-3300.
