Okay, so there's a lot to read on the Internet. And finding the time for one more blog might be daunting. But if you're interested in the latest when it comes to socio-economic issues, race relations and other hot topics in Columbus and around the nation, then this is the place you want to be. I report the facts, and let you draw your own conclusions. That's why I call this blog "The Plain Truth," no political agendas or strings attached, even when there's commentary. Just an independent voice, calling it as I see it.
Oh, one other thing, just in case you're wondering who I am. Let's just say I'm a newcomer to Columbus, which allows me to see things from a fresh perspective. I moved to the community with my husband and two daughters a year ago, and so far I've found it a great place to live. And believe me, I have a lot to compare it to. I've lived and worked as a reporter in New York City; Syracuse, NY; Omaha, Neb., and most recently Fort Lauderdale, Fla. I even traveled to Haiti and covered issues about poverty and politics there. I'm excited to use all I've learned over the years to report about life here in Columbus.
