Dr. Binns Dies In Boat Mishap
The body of a prominent Columbus dentist, Dr. Joseph Marion Binns, was recovered from the Chattahoochee River waters behind Bartlett's Ferry Dam at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, 19 hours after Dr. Binns' boat collided with a cabin cruiser about 300 feet from the lake shore.
Dr. Binns apparently sustained a blow on the head as he was thrown out of his outboard motorboat by impact.
