LBJ Continues Appraisal of War
President Johnson continued the administration's agonizing reappraisal of the Viet Nam situation today with a White House pledge of bipartisan consultations before final decisions are made.
White House Press secretary Bill D. Moyers said Johnson unquestionably would consult with congressional leaders, including Republicans, before final decisions on the apparently imminent plans for a big U.S. troop buildup in Viet Nam.
